Creative Challenges Beyond the Basics

There will be a zoom workshop with challenges intended to push artists beyond their usual approach to Mark Making. When we gather online, Jessie gives a lesson and challenge, and artists paint, share progress, and grow together! There is also support between zooms (email support or critiques, personalized homework, etc).

There’s a special price because I’ve had a dream for quite a while of having fairly regular, very reasonably priced demo / paint with me events and this one is the test if it’s a viable idea! If this one fills, I’ll do it again at this price!

Composition and You : a Workshop for Painters

Medium: Open to drawing or painting mediums.
Demonstrations will be in pencil (composition sketches) and oils.

We’ll start off by learning how to make useful composition sketches and exploring ideas around composition.
Then we’ll dive into the emotional aspects of different composition choices. We’ll talk about issues of impact, journey, and comfort.
